Me too I failed my most important entrance exam. Found a decent college, but looking forward to what has to come. It did hurt but at the end of the day life is not always highs and highs it’s a combo of highs and lows. Had my low now, time for the high!!

I really want to support you even if you wouldn't see this comment. I failed to of my exams last year and had to retake them. At first it also seemed like I have no chances of getting throught that and I generally was really devestated throught the whole summer break. But than time came to prepare myself for retake and now. I can confidently say that it was all for the best. I managed not only to pass this exams but actually understand subjects. I really get your frustration when you have to formulate your thoughts out loud cause all of my exams are oral and as dislexic it brings me a lot of trouble. But wee can get through that cause there is no way we aren't.

Dear fellow future pharmacist. Im deeply rooting for your sucess and you got this !!! Look at it from a different angle maybe you studied too much. The way those exams are made is to cover min for "any" pharmacist. That min could be different from one exam to another. It is not that you didnt study hard. Maybe you focused a lot on details. Take a step back and I know as an A type personality I learned that asking for help is not a strength. I kicked that mentality and I asked maybe 3 to 4 students to study together weekly and spoke with pharmacist to give me directions on how to study better. Good luck to you and me as I prepare for my Naplex

Thanks for the tips, for me getting in chem major it's really hard, because i'm not that smart and fast to understand the chem, especially the lab report took alof of time to do and 2 of the lab reports require to written on paper instead of tpye on words, and shorten my study time.

I 100% understand how you feel, the medical field is no joke compared to other programs where you can just “retake a class no problem” this is years of sacrifice that could go down the drain and failing totally messes with your mental especially when it’s a field that you actually enjoy. I’m a physical therapy student and I went through so much struggled a lot, tears were shed out of frustration, but morale of the story don’t EVER give up. "A setback isn't a failure, pick yourself up every time you fall, difficult roads lead to beautiful destinations". 🙏🏽

I know the feeling unfortunately. It feels like all your plans get changed in front of you in just seconds. But I know in my case it was humbling, and I wouldn’t be the person I am today if everything had gone according to plan. It’s a great time to reflect but don’t get caught in the trap of turning that into ruminating. Everything will be fine and this time in your life will one day become an event that happened but not something you feel emotional about anymore

I don't usually comment, but I wanted to thank you for your transparency. I've just completed my second year of my Bachelors in Zoology/Biochemistry, and my GPA is real shit because I had a really rough start to university in my first year, and it tanked by GPA (seemingly eternally imo). I'm crawling back out of my GPA plummet (last term's was ~84 when my first year's last term was ~74) but I still feel like a failure. I'm aiming to get into vet school or grad school (with very particular labs preferably!!) but both of those things feel like impossibilities with how poorly I do at uni currently. Seeing others fail does NOT bring me joy, but it gives me comfort and it gives me hope. Thank you :)

im from poland and want to study maths - today i had my high school math final which determines which college i get into and it went miserably. i studied all of high school and really REALLY tried this last year - i mean i really sacrificed a lot for this exam and i have no idea what to do. i understand you completely - i kind of let maths define me and my self worth so when it didnt work out for me i felt like i had nothing in my life that i was good at or could take pride in. i dont know how many points i scored or what will happen but academic failures are really heart breaking and its incredibly hard to get back up on your feet, but i hope all of us will get what we need and deserve in life❤️

This seems like a classic case of burnout - which all of us have experienced or eventually will. You relied on academic validation in high school and did very well, but now you're exhausted. I would encourage you to find a new source of motivation - getting that degree, entering your dream career, doing it for your 14 year-old self. And then run with that drive!!

Oh i absolutely hate when the profs question our work. Just this semester I did a group research project and we wrote a report with like 5000+ words explaining our research and data. Then, one of our graded components was a 2hr q&a session where the profs just go nuts asking us questions about our report and some of the questions just left my group speechless. Im a second year undergrad btw. So I completely get being stunned by good qns. And everytime I was asked one of those good questions, me and my groupmates would just be like oh that is a good point and we are willing to do it for future work to improve our expts since it was not within the scope of our project or not feasible within the time frame of our project. At this point, being in uni just teaches us how to bs our way through tough qns. 😂

Hey, Nathan! I recently received a grade I wasn't too happy with. It had me not wanting to get out of bed for days and frankly, I've still not fully recovered from it. I so understand how you're feeling: The imposter syndrome, the feelings of inadequacy; yet I have full faith in your resilience. I have been watching your videos for around two years now and let me tell you, your commitment to being a good academic as well as a content creator is remarkable and is one of the things that keeps me going. Don't you ever doubt yourself, Nathan! And thank you for making videos -- on both the happy and the not-so-happy.

I haven't been feeling like the best creator recently becuase of my content break. But it seems like posting this video and being authentic already makes me a great creator. Thank you for sticking by my side 🥰

Bruh if you focused on studying than filming/trying to be a UA-camr/influencer maybe you would have passed 😂😂😂😂

And there's students which all they do is study but still fail. You shouldn't have to sacrifice what you love to do, to be “successful” in school. I've passed every other exam while filming every moment

I failed my A-levels, but I honestly enjoyed my gap year when I was applying to colleges again. You already have a great foundation, so passing exam next time shouldn’t be a problem for you:)) take this year to do fun activities! I needed that gap year so I could stop associating my self worth with some scores haha, I came back stronger

What a levels did you take? That's a very good outlook. I'm glad you were able to take a gap year. Did you travel anywhere? I wrote my re-test 1 month later... Look at the pinned comment for the result!

thank you so much for posting this. i got my dissertation results back 2 days ago, i broke down in tears to my family and started worrying about my future because my grades were nowhere near as good as i wanted despite spending 9 months working my ass off on a topic i'm so incredibly passionate about. i wish there was more content on failing in general because it's so normal and it's okay to fail

    • @NathanWu
      @NathanWu 16 днів тому

I will always be honest with this community. I didn't know how this failure would be perceived by the public but I've received nothing but support. I'm so proud of you for allowing yourself to feel those emotions and cry it out. Your disappointment is valid, especially since you worked so hard for it. It shows that you care and that is strength!

The jump from my undergraduate classes to pharmacy school was very steep too. I was close to failing anatomy & physiology. No one prepares you for that change... Were you able to re-take those classes?
